Through joyful play, creative exploration, and family-centered guidance, we support social–emotional development, developmental milestones, build resilience, and strengthen the child–caregiver relationship.
Individualized child and family therapy meets each child where they are, helping them grow skills, confidence, and emotional regulation in a space designed for heart, healing, and play.
Supporting Your Child’s Brightest Tomorrow, Today
Navigating the early years of your child’s development can feel like a beautiful adventure—but it can also bring moments of profound uncertainty. If you are noticing gaps in your child’s communication, intense emotional meltdowns, or challenges with baseline milestones, you don't have to figure it out alone.
In my practice, I specialize in identifying and supporting children who are navigating two distinct types of developmental hurdles:
1. Delayed Developmental Milestones
When a child is missing critical milestones, I use a blend of play-based early education and foundational behavioral concepts. We target these skill gaps through play based early intervention with a focus on functional communication, giving your child the functional tools they need to express themselves, interact with their world, and build cognitive confidence.
2. "Stuck" Development Due to Trauma
When a young child experiences chronic stress, medical trauma, or overwhelming life events, their development can stall or regress. Trauma literally reshapes how a child sees the world, often leaving them trapped in a hyper-vigilant state. I help children untangle these emotional knots, moving them from survival mode back into a natural, healthy developmental flow.
Advanced Mental Health Frameworks
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP): Grounded in relational health, CPP focuses on the sacred bond between you and your child. When a child experiences emotional or behavioral distress, we look at how to heal and strengthen the family dynamic, ensuring your child feels safe, seen, and secure.
SPACE Training (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions): Designed specifically to support families navigating childhood anxiety and big behaviors. Instead of putting all the pressure on the child to change, SPACE empowers you with concrete tools to reduce parental accommodation, build family resilience, and systematically lower your child's anxiety.
Advanced Behavioral Interventions
Our behavioral programming is highly individualized, structured, and woven naturally into play-based sessions. We focus on proactive, skill-building strategies:
Functional Communication Training (FCT) All behavior is a form of communication. When a child screams, bites, or throws a toy, they are trying to express a need that their nervous system cannot currently articulate. Through FCT, we pinpoint exactly why the behavior is happening and explicitly teach an easier, safer alternative—such as using a specific vocal word, a sign, a gesture, or an AAC picture icon, or teach missing developmental skills in a supportive, tailored way, to support learning and regulation.
Brain Developmental support In the first five years of life, rapid brain development lays the foundation for all future learning, fueled entirely by the growth of neural connections formed through safe relationships. Early learning milestones are anchored in the development of core cognitive faculties—including attention, working memory, and executive functioning (the brain's command center that handles planning and flexibility). When a child learns to sustain attention or hold information in mind, they are building the precise neurological circuitry required to make sense of their environment, transition between activities, and solve everyday problems.
